The Power Project by Supré
Supré asked me to contribute to The Power Project, a campaign that celebrates creativity and self-expression, during International Women's Day 2019.
They engaged 12 female artists to produce original artworks that speak to key International Women’s Day (March 8th) themes of Gender Parity and Female Empowerment.
The campaign incorporates artworks across multiple mediums including: dance, design, photography and writing. Their goal is to provide a platform for thought-provoking creatives to share their unique point of view to inspire conversations that encourage positive change. To inform the campaign, Supre’s copywriter Vanessa Bruzzaniti created a manifesto.
The Manifesto informed all aspects of the Power Project and was provided to the artists’ as a brief as to inspire for their piece.
I chose to go with a bit about self-expression featuring a feisty black woman with bleached pink hair and a vogueing pose.
The artworks were featured in a poster with a short description about the artists as well as on display in Supré stores in Australia.
